Swift Therapy for Verrucae
Swift is the quick and clean new treatment for verrucae. Unlike cryotherapy, salicylic acid and laser procedures, Swift does not break the surface of the skin. This means that it eliminates the need for dressings leaving you to carry on your day as normal.
Swift doesn't require you to have an anaesthetic, the treatment itself only takes a few seconds and our podiatrists have been seeing some great results coming back into the clinic.

WHY CHOOSE SWIFT TREATMENT?
DOES IT HURT?
It feels like a hot needle but is over in seconds, and there is no lasting pain.
After treatment patients report occasional stabbing discomfort or blood blistering for 1 to 2 days after treatment.
No dressings are usually required after treatment and the foot does not need to be kept dry.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
This to some degree varies from patient to patient. Depending on depth, size, age of the lesion, and medication or concurrent illnesses. The treatment kills the verrucae from the bottom up, so don’t despair if it doesn’t look any smaller, the width is the last to go.
The current regime is based on 3 applications 4 weeks apart (new clinical guidelines). With a review 8 weeks later further treatment may be required dependent on review of the lesion. Please note that due to stimulation of your immune system healing will continue to be evident up to 12 weeks after final application.
CAN ANYONE RECEIVE TREATMENT?
Most people can have treatment. The Podiatrist will asses you prior to treatment and advice.
We cannot treat you if you have:
✓ A metal implant in your foot
✓ If you're pregnant
✓ If you have a pacemaker
✓ If you have poor circulation
✓ May not be suitable for the very young due to a small degree of discomfort
